"Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer
than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay."
This is a great reminder of the danger of toying with sin. We can never truly toy with sin because it is actually toying with us. Remember the words in Provers 6, "Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned" (27)? The urgency for all Christians is to make war against sin. "So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live" (Romans 8:12-13). Don't toy around with sin, kill it!
Grace upon grace,
